“About the Heart” is the newest sweet and spicy musical offering by the singer/songwriting duo,Ameila Struthers and mike mrowicki.

“About the Heart” is a collection of music arriving perfectly for this time of great new hope – as we begin to experience how, what really matters –the Heart- can be talked about, created and shared by all of us.The songs on this album move, comfort, and dig deep. We all know about falling into fear and doubt, or joy and ecstasy. The album explores those circular depths of emotion that we all travel and reveasl the promises of hope for the present and future we all reach for. And, alongside it all, the music is just plain fun!

For the the musical “local-vores” out there, Vermont Timbre -- the singer-songwriting duo of Putney’s,Mike Mrowicki and Amelia Struthers, offer fresh local musical produce of the musical variety.

The two began singing together in 2004 while working on the album, Love in Kindness. Performing together as Vermont Timbre, they have enjoyed performing on radio and playing live shows for enthusiastic audiences. Mike’s songs cover a variety of distinct styles with superb guitar rhythms that evoke a range of moods. The duo’s concerts offer multiple  layers of  enjoyment; eliciting bright smiles, knowing nods, contemplative shared moments of  recognition and dancing in the aisles.

Music has always lived large in Mike's life, moving to Putney. The community  welcome  allowed him to set down Vermont roots to start a family in the 1980’s. From those  roots and community  connections,  the music  has  blossomed and reflects  the people and place  that Vermonters  call home. With finger-picked guitar and gentle, powerful voice, he has always sought to represent the musical mosaic that is folk and mine the veins of what has percolated through his experience. Now with his children growing into their own lives, the music finds a more prominent place and is a continuing catalyst to learn, enjoy, and share.

Amelia moved to Brattleboro from Boston ten years ago with her young daughter to continue a creative life as a performance artist. A performing veteran, she never experienced stage fright until it came to singing her own songs. This led her to dare herself into singing them a lot more. Now she is savoring this musical collaboration. Music has become her creative pursuit to grow as an artist; singing from the razor’s edge.

“About  the Heart”,is Mrowicki and Struthers latest musical endeavor. The songs in this vein  plumb the circular depths of emotion, and hold  the  promise  of hope for the present and future , in a time when all too many are all too ready to  fall into fear .The songs by both writers, build a body of work intrinsically infused with the  spice  of vexing harmonic vocals that celebrate shadow, eclectic musical composition, and  lyrics  that would
